Cylinder Boring is a service where we cut material from the ID of the cylinder bore.  This ensures straightness of the cylinder, and is squared off of the deck.   We use our Index Milling Machine with custom tooling for all bore lengths under 5.200".   The cylinders will then be Finish Honed after this service, where final cross hatch finish will be achieved, and sized to the pistons.   Finish Honing is included in this service and pistons are required at drop off.   This service is for .25mm or .50mm OS Pistons.   If boring is needed for a sleeve, it is a different service.  This is just for going oversize to a near next size up piston.   Updated 2026.
